A legacy gift may be designated to the Jones Foundation by naming the Foundation as a beneficiary of an estate or charitable trust. Life Insurance policies that have been paid in full may also be transferred to the Foundation as part of a planned gift.
With a gift of securities that have been held for the required holding period, donors are entitled to a charitable deduction for the full fair-market value of the stock in the year of the gift. The fair market value of the gift is determined by the mean high and low sales prices on the date the stock is received by the Foundation. For additional tax implications, please contact your tax advisor.
